Long Weekend (ANZAC Day)

Its been a long weekend this week, the reason is ANZAC day which was on 25 April

ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps

It started as a day to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I.

It now more broadly commemorates all those who died and served in military operations for their countries. Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa and Tonga.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Poems

I used to have no problem in writing poems, and then for some reason they dried up and i couldnt write anything, then last week i started to write again.

Here is one i did last night

This can mean a few things, but people who know me what this is about....

The men they clamour

To here me talk

Pay for their minutes

and then they walk

Its over and done with

Till next week

When they come back again

To try to reach that same peak

Baking Bread

On Friday night i wanted to make my own Pizza, but i was being really lazy and didnt want to make my own base if it wasent going to turn out and taste all yummy.......

So instead i made bread, i cheated in that it was a packaged mix you buy that you can use in a electric bread maker (i dont own one) the flavour was Soy and Linseed, but i thought i would mix it up a little by added Bacon and Cheese,







So after the first rise i cut the bread into 8 pieces, mixed the pre-cooked bacon and the grated cheese to the sides, then added it to a baking dish and after letting is rise again



I cooked it....it was very yummy.......i gave some to my neighbours as i cant eat a whole loaf of bread

But ehh what you think dosent it look yummo

World of Warcraft (WoW)

I love to play World of Warcraft as my About me says

Found this that shows how many people play World of Warcraft and the percentage per continent it seems that 48% of players are Asian

I do notice that there are alot of Asians who play and the two guilds i am in are both Asian i am the only Aussie in the guild and usually i am the only female , i find Asian people really nice, polite helpful and are really sweet people.

When i first started to play World of Warcraft i was in an Aussie guild and it was mainly all guys, i got sick of it after awhile as i found the guild really blockey and at times sexist comments where said, so i left them and got into my first Asian guild, was a big difference straight away i was treated as a equal and no more sexist remarks or sex jokes

Anyhow if you look at unrealitymag.com its shows stats of who play, how many computers are needed for the game to play and other information its really an eye opener...

Got Bored

On the weekend i got bored so i decided to make a bracelet.

I had bought a necklace that i liked the beads on (which cost me i think $1), i have used the string and the beads that where attached, all i had to do was undo all the knots that where in the necklace.

I still have half the necklace sitting there, so when i get bored again i suppose i can make another bracelet with a different design.

It is the usual slip hold, someone a few years ago taught me how to make the knot that holds it.

Do you like how my Blog now looks, im not exactly happy but pretty close to what i wanted.

I gave up trying to work out how to take the other persons heading out, hence i made my own, i have put who made the picture under the little girl as i took it from a website.........but the rest of the heading i did myself.

Wish i had a more update Photoshop and knew how to use it better, but ehh i think it looks pretty nifty.

So what about you, does anyone else like how it looks now??

Changing the look of my Blog

I thought it was time to change what my blog looked like.

After searching for a background i like i couldnt use it, but this is pretty close to how i want it to look.

Please bare with me as i have to fix up the heading and i am trying to work out how to take the heading that is there now out, which im not exactly sure how to do

I know i can lay another one on top, but i will keep searching to see if i can work out how to take this one off first, or even the dimensions of this one.........if i cant i will layer my one on top.

I saw a program which allowed you to make your own background, im going to look into that so i can get one pretty close to what i want..
