Very picky People

Last week i went to an event where i do some volunteer work to celebrate the 10th birthday of the agency, while there some of the volunteer's got together and sang a song to promote the place.
I thought it would be fun to video it on my phone which i did and i said to a few of the people who where singing that i had video it and that i would be putting it on Youtube, teasing this one man as he dosent really have any computer knowledge and saying he could tell his children he was now on the computer.

Today when i went in i said to this one person who was in the video that i had put it on Youtube, she turned around to me and said nastily that i didnt have to right to do that, that i didnt get her permission and what i had done was wrong. The manager of the place was standing there looking a little concerned for her.

Years ago i had a problem like this to do with some photos i take, the manager at the time told me that as the photos where taken by me for my personal use, that if the people are adults then i am allowed to do it, that i dont need to get release signatures as this person was saying.

I do know that i have to be careful with children and if i want to take a photo that a child in it, i will try to find the parent or if the child is in the picture i blur them out, i often ask adults as well if it is ok that i take their photo or that i have taken their photo are they ok with it, and often get asked if they could have a copy of my photos.

It just pissed me off that here i am doing something that no-one else has a problem with and this one person is trying to ruin it for everyone........i also dont like it when people open their mouth when they arent sure what they are talking about.

From now on i will make sure this person is not in any photo ever again.

Good and Bad

I do a bit of volunteer work and on Friday they had an award luncheon, my name had been put down to win one of the awards.

At the Luncheon i was awarded one of the two main awards, i got volunteer of the year for the area i live in 2009/10

I received a certificate and a clock that has a plaque with my name engraved into it.

The bad, i have/had a pet cockatiel called Cello, he is/was a little over three years old, he liked to have me in sight and he sat on the main door, on Friday i had the screen door open a little long, he flew out the door, i have put up notices to see if anyone sees him offering a reward if i get him back. It now Tuesday and i haven't heard anything yet.

Two of my nephews S and B came over tonight with their girlfriends, K and P.

K and S are looking for a place to live and she has a cat around 5 months old, she asked if i would look after it for her, i said i would as long as i could give her back as i don't want to keep someone elses animal. So i will have an animal to look after for awhile, but its not the same as having a bird.

Havent written anything cause i cant be bothered

I was all ready to write about what good thing happened to me on Friday till something for me which was sad happened

But im gonna add some pics so i am still filling this in, have no real energy to do more than that...

Car done at last

Last weekend i meet a friend of a friend who is a motor mechanic, who has a mobile service, ive been putting off getting the service done, but thought i best do it.

What some people might not know is that i work at night time, often not getting to sleep till 4am....

So anyhow i arranged for this man to turn up on Wednesday, he said he would be here at 9am (ugh ugh ugh) i thought ok it wont kill me having not much sleep.

Wednesday comes i wake up at 8.30am, ive had about 3 hours sleep, jump on the computer to make sure i stay awake, i stay awake in case he turns up but the man dosent turn up....im crap for the rest of the day..

Friday comes and my friend comes over saying that the man has turned up and wants to look at the car now, i had arranged to go out so said it was ok for him to look but i needed to go out, so that was ok i was given a price of what it would cost me. I said yeah it was find what the price is.

Today i saw the man across at my friends house but thought he was helping my friend with something over there as my friend is fixing up a boat to sell.

It seems though that the man had turned up to do my car and they had been trying to get me on my mobile but i was asleep.

But alls well that ends well the service was done on my car and next time i get it done we can hopefully work out the timing better

International Womens Day

Today is International Womens Day, where i work we had an event for the day which consisted of

Women had hand massage
Their nails polished
A morning tea of fruit, sandwhich's cheese and cakes
Free Roses

After the event was over, we had many roses still left, where i work is close to a shopping centre so i went over to the shopping centre with another person and we started to hand them out to women we saw there.

It was great to see the smiles on the womens faces as we handed the roses to them, one women telling me that she hadnt received a Rose from someone for 40 years, one women was having a bad day we gave her a Rose which you could tell she was happy to get.

International Women's Day (IWD) is marked on the 8th of March every year. It is a major day of global celebration of women. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements.

Fresh Sashimi Yuck this way

I saw a clip awhile ago about live animals beng cooked and then laid on the plate with what looks like them still being alive.

The one i felt disguted about was the live fish that was drop into hot oil and then placed in a plate ready to be cooked.

But i thought i would investigate to see if the fish would be in any pain before i wrote about it.

There are two schools of thought, one say that the fish has a small brain so cant feel pain at all, and there are others that say that the fish do feel pain.

Im not sure as i havent seen it for myself. The clips ive seen are of the fish with glassy eyes and the fins moving as if it is breathing.

The fish could be in shock or maybe it dosent feel it..
