International Womens Day

Today is International Womens Day, where i work we had an event for the day which consisted of

Women had hand massage
Their nails polished
A morning tea of fruit, sandwhich's cheese and cakes
Free Roses

After the event was over, we had many roses still left, where i work is close to a shopping centre so i went over to the shopping centre with another person and we started to hand them out to women we saw there.

It was great to see the smiles on the womens faces as we handed the roses to them, one women telling me that she hadnt received a Rose from someone for 40 years, one women was having a bad day we gave her a Rose which you could tell she was happy to get.

International Women's Day (IWD) is marked on the 8th of March every year. It is a major day of global celebration of women. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements.
